Re-Create Sandra Bullock's Fresh-Faced Look

Face:

Because a perfectly polished complexion is the cornerstone to this makeup look, I highly recommend beginning with a thorough exfoliation. Madeleine Mono’s Act 1, 2 & 3 Set is a great start because it includes a gentle scrub, a hydrating moisture mask and a super-hydrating moisturizer. Following this three-step regimen before applying your makeup will give you a nice, smooth canvas to begin working your magic!

Now that your skin has been properly cared for, apply Sara St. James Natural Glow Face Tint to your entire face. This moisturizing tint evens out skin imperfections while giving skin a dewy, natural look.

If shine is a problem for you, dust the smallest amount of Arabella Stuart Candlelight Finishing Powder to T-Zone only, using Japonesque’s Powder Brush. A healthy sheen is the most important part of this makeup look, so be sure to apply powder sparingly.

Eyes:

Using Sistina Café Colori Eyeshadows, apply the ivory shade onto brow bones with Japonesque’s Medium Fluff Eyeshadow Brush. Use this same brush to sweep the soft pink color over lids.

Dip Japonesque’s Crease Brush into the lightest brown (her hat) and blend thoroughly into your crease for natural-looking depth and dimension.

Now, use Sistina Eye Crayon Definire in Carboncino to define upper lash line. Keep the pencil close to lashes for a nice crisp line. To achieve Sandra’s slightly winged look, lift pencil up and out at a 45 degree angle when you reach the outer corners of your eyes. Be careful not to extend liner down past corners as this can cause eyes to appear droopy.

Now curl lashes with Japonesque's Power Curl Lash Curler and apply two coats of Sistina Mascara Maxima in Mezzanotte Black to top lashes.

Cheeks:

For a rosy-cheeked look like Sandra’s, use the Japonesque Blush Brush to apply the deeper in shade in the Arabella Stuart Duo Blusher in Somerset to the apples of your cheeks blending up towards your hairline. Use the same brush to sweep the lighter shade across the tops of your cheekbones.

Lips:

Define your lips with Jean-Michelle Le Stylo Pour Les Levres in Rose Jardin. This soft rosy shade will give subtle color and definition.

Now, apply Jean-Michelle Infinite Lip Couleur in Pink Rose for a long-lasting, natural-finish.

Voila! You’re done!

As always, we welcome your comments.

Get Sarah Jessica Parker's Glamorous Oscar Look

Sarah Jessica Parker looked absolutely stunning at this year’s Academy Awards. I loved the makeup, the hair, and the dress! The good news is, we can all get this super-special occasion look with the right products and application. I’ve broken the look down by facial feature and recommended products for re-creating this gorgeous party-perfect face!

Face:

Using the Japonesque Foundation Brush, apply Diandra Perfect Blend Foundation which is a silky, cream-to-powder formula perfect for achieving perfect-looking skin!

To further perfect your “canvas,” use your ring finger to spot-conceal blemishes and under-eye circles with Sistina Tinta Naturale Concealer.

Cheeks:

For SJP’s tawny-cheeked look all you need is a little bronzer! Sistina Crème Bronzing Veil is perfect for re-creating this look because it adds color along with a luminous glow. Again, use your ring finger to apply this creamy bronzer high on the apples of your cheeks.

Eyes:

The eyes are really the focal point of her makeup look here, so let’s glam it up! Start with the Jean-Michelle Quartette Lumineux Eyeshadow in Golden Fantaisie to create warmth and depth on the lid.

Use the Japonesque Medium Eyeshadow Fluff Brush to dust the ivory shade onto brow bones for a subtle highlight.
Now, let’s add some drama! Apply the dark, warm brown in the compact to lids only using the Japonesque Small Eye Detailer Brush. Color should be darkest at the lash line.

Use the Japonesque Eyeshadow Crease Brush to apply the medium golden peach shadow in the crease to create a subtle blend between the lid and brow colors.

Line the lower lash line by dipping the Japonesque Angled Brow Definer Brush into the dark, warm brown and gently stroking it under lashes from outer corners all the way into the inner corners of your eyes.

To get the uber-defined smolder of this eye, use Jean-Michelle Le Stylo Pour Les Yeux in Noir to line the upper and lower lash line. For your lower lash line, apply the pencil just inside of where you lined with the powder shadow and make sure to line all the way around your tear duct (inner corners) for maximum impact.

Thoroughly curl those lashes using the best eyelash curler ever! The Japonesque Power Curl Eyelash Curler! You won’t believe the difference this makes…

Now put on a generous coat of Too Faced’s Lash Injection in Pitch Black for huge sweeping lashes.

Lips:
I really like her lip color in this photo…it’s nude without being boring or washing her out. Try lining lips with Princess Livia Lipliner in Spice for definition. Lightly fill in your lips with the pencil for added depth and staying power.
Next, apply Princess Livia Performance Slimline Lipstick in Coral Sunset for a beautiful, moisturizing pop of color.

To achieve SJP’s high-shine look, top your lipstick with Too Faced Lip Injection. This awesome gloss imparts magnificent shine while plumping your pout!

Be More Photogenic! Top Ten Tips and Tricks of the Camera Savvy

Ever wonder why supermodels and actresses never take a bad photo?  Clearly, being beautiful and in great shape goes a long way towards taking great pictures, but it is equally important that they learn some basic picture taking skills so they can minimize their flaws and maximize “the gorgeous!”

Top Ten Tips and Tricks of the Camera Savvy:

1. They pay attention to their posture. Standing up straight with  shoulders back and down makes you look longer and leaner in photographs. Slouching can make you look frumpy and heavier than you really are.

2. They stretch their necks and jut their chins slightly out and down. This is a great trick for getting rid of the dreaded double-chin in photos.

3. They close their eyes and count to 3 before they open them and smile. This super-quick meditation moment allows for a genuine, natural-looking smile for the camera.

4. They rarely face the camera straight-on. Stand with feet pointed slightly sideways (about a 45 degree angle from the camera) and turn shoulders towards the camera. This trick really whittles the waist and elongates the silhouette.

5. They put their hands on their hips. This makes arms look slimmer and shoulders less rounded.

6. They wear solid neutral colors or brighter colors that flatter them.  Patterns should be kept subtle for photos.

7. They wear their makeup a bit more dramatically if they know they'll be in a lot of photos. Blemishes and under-eye circles should be thoroughly covered and eyes and lips should be well defined. A bit more color on the cheeks usually works well in photos especially when a flash is used. Also, stay shine free for pictures by touching up with translucent powder.

8. They have the photographer shoot them from eye-level or higher so they are looking at or slightly up at the camera. This makes eyes look larger and double chins disappear. It also eliminates the lovely nostril shot that is always so flattering!

9. They counteract red-eye by looking at bright light immediately before having their photo taken with a flash. This trick shrinks the pupil and minimizes red-eye.

10. They wear shaping undergarments to avoid any unsightly lumps, bumps and bulges.

Get This Look...Veronica

Face:

To get Veronica’s perfect-looking, creamy complexion, start by applying Too Faced Magic Wand Foundation to the center of your face and blending outward.

Use the Madeleine Mono Cover-Up Stick to camouflage any areas that need extra coverage, including your under-eyes.

Lightly dust your entire face with Jean-Michelle Satine Translucent Powder to set your makeup and eliminate shine.

Eyes:

Using Jean-Michelle Collage Eyeshadow Trio in Rose Fresque, apply the light pink shade to your entire eyelid, from lash line to brow. Swirl a bit of this enlivening pink into the inner corners of your eyes, for an immediate eye-brightening effect!

Dust the deep purple hue over your eyelids concentrating the pigment closest to your lashes, blending up into the crease of your eye. Take care to avoid the inner-most corners of your eyes.

Now, using a very small brush, define the perimeters of your eyes with the dark blue shadow. If necessary, clean up any mistakes or spillage with a cotton swab.

Give lashes a boost by thoroughly coating them with Pur Minerals Triple Impact Mascara in Black.

Cheeks:

Using Pur Minerals Live, Love, Laugh Collection, apply the bronze shade to the contours of your cheeks, hairline and temples for a healthy glow.

Use the marbled, red color on the apples of your cheeks to impart a healthy, youthful flush.

Dust the light pink shade over the tops of cheekbones for a well-blended, natural look.

Lips:
Use Arabella Stuart Petal Soft Lips Set to give you the perfect pink pout for this look!

Start by using the pencil to line and lightly fill-in your lips.

Add moisture, shine and just a hint of color with this glamorous gloss and you’re all set!
